I have recently refilled my aircon system. Before doing so I pulled a vacum, and it helop steady for several hours. Then I kept the vacum pump running for about 30 minutes before refilling with gas. Now its hot 30 degrees in France. the system takes about 1 mile to start blowing cool, but not ice cold air? My question is that clearly the air con is doing something, but not working at full pelt. Does the viscus fan come on and draw more air across the condensor to help cooling, like on my rover 75 which has a seperate fan to do so? I should say I have also put in a new condensor before doing the vacum draw etc as mentioned. Any ideas on what to try next
