aux input noise

Thanks for sharing this info! Could you clarify a couple things -

Was the grounding issue on the DC power jack behind the center console? Is that the wiring they replaced or was it something to do with the actual AUX jack or cabling?

Also, can anyone with service database access tell us if there a TSB number or other name we can reference for this repair?


I don't get the exact behavior you mention, but I'll often get some noise and occasionally a speaker will drop out. I had just assumed it was the power adapter I was using for my iPod.

Todd,
At first I assumed it was the DC power line, but I would get the noise without anything plugged into the jack...so I'm not sure. Perhaps the aux line needed to be shielded from the DC lines? Sorry I can't help you better.
