I've read lots of threads on LR3s with low audio volume, but have not yet found anyone who has the AUX IN that pushes the plug out just enough to make it mono audio (just right side).

I have tried several different cables, but the plug only stays in for a few seconds then pops out on it's own (not being pulled on, lots of slack in the line, etc).

Any suggestions?

If it requires a tear down...
How difficult is it to remove just the AUX IN/12V panel from the back of the center console? Is this part available separately?

Thank you all!
Really enjoying the new to us 2007 LR3!

Tear out the plug and put a new one in... but it does suck (low volume) anyway.

I pulled the entire unit out and tore the plug down to it's elements...it's a pretty flimsy plug design and very proprietary. After plenty of fiddling with the little metal tabs inside and reassembling 3-4x , it works...but is still finicky about position.

Sound levels have never been an issue, it was just not playing out of the left channel. While I do have it fixed - I broke down and ordered a new part from the UK.

Part # XVO500020
