yes., unless you put a set of jumper wires to the new batt first.

If you break the electrical, you'll need to recode the radio.

Land Rover Shop Are The Only Ones Can Recode Radio?

If you bought it used maybe. There should be a plastic card in the owners manual that has the code on it. You get three trys I think before your out of luck. Then one has to wait before one can initialize code again. If you don't have the code I would think a dealer could look it up somehow. If you do have the code it will be 5 or 6 digits. We can help you through it but first get your code.
