I have not heard of anybody driving on IB. That is the only beach in San Diego
county that I don;t have a lot of experience with.

San Onofre doesn't allow driving on the beach does it?

The op didnt say he needed to camp or drive on the beach, just park. So according to his question San Onofre would be fine.

I don't think it would be any fun in the Jeep. It's a tractor, 80% of it's torque is developed at idle. Sand is a horsepower game, with a need for speed. The Jeep is not speed.
