How much did Safelite charge? I assume they picked up the glass from your dealer. And where did you find the service bulletin? We’ve had a 3-4 crack in the lower right hand corner for a couple years, just planning ahead.

I'll see if I can upload the SB. I found it via google. The SB # is
    LA-501-006.

$100 deductible. Not sure where they got the glass.

And by the way, the clips in the A-pillar kit from British Atlantic are not nearly as strong as the yellow clips that I got from Safelite Auto Glass.

I had mine done oem out of pocket from safelite and since the mobile technician called out of work on 2 of my appointments they gave me $200 off to come to the actual shop and have it done. They reused the old pillar mouldings and cowl :/. But I got out only paying $800.

CArry some extra clips. If they used the old ones you will need them. Also carry some duct tape.

Haha yeah it was loose at first but I popped it off and smacked it back in and now it’s in pretty tight. I will say another questionable thing safelite did was not plugging in the plug on the mirror for the dimmer, headlights, and wipers. But it was fairly easy to pop off the covers and fix it.

FYI - I had the Fuyao as a replacement and the rain sensing headlights were erratic. Didn’t work. It’s a known issue.

CarMax had put that in so I went back and requested the actual OEM, which is the Pilkington and everything works fine again. It’s something about the tint of the glass, I think, which is just slightly different and mucks up the sensor. Or maybe it’s the sensor if it comes with the windshield. I forget. Anyway, I attached a picture of my heated replacement as an FYI -

Interesting. My Fuyao has been working fine with the sensor. Maybe they learned, who knows. Glass only last 2-3 years here anyhow so I don't get fussy about it.
