2012 Range Rover Sport 5.0 N/A question

While replacing the cooling system pipes, I ran into something interesting. There is a green 'O' ring located in the intake manifold, where the throttle body bolts on.
I ordered a new gasket for this connection from Atlantic British. What came is a flat metal one with rubber coating as shown below.
My question is this. Does the new one completely replace the old 'O' ring, or are we supposed to run both?
