Anyone have a problem with Bluetooth and satellite lock up? Seems that sometimes my satellite radio with give me a "no service" error and require the car to be shut down for about 5mins or so before working. Seems that the bluetooth may be causing the problem as the last two times the above happened, my cell phone had a difficult time "pairing up " with my LR3.

Any comments?

I had the exact same problem when my LR3 was 2 days old. Including the bletooth issue. The dealer replaced the satellite receiver and all is now right with the world.

Every time I get into our truck, I am cursing the Bluetooth device. Sometimes it works as truly hands-free, other times it will dial the phone but won't transmit the sound via the stereo (happens regardless of dialing method) and other times, it just can't find the device.

I'm pretty upset about the poor integration. Even my wife has trouble with her motorala (I have the Crackberry 8700). My Volvo never has issues w/ the BT.

24hours, I'm taking the LR3 to the dealer to get the BT looked at. I'll post my findings as soon as I get it back. The BT issue has become even more of an issue in my truck. My "crackberry" 8700 links up with the LR3 1 out of 10-25 times and when it does, it screws up the satellite radio!

Ok, here is an update guys. I took the LR3 in to the shop and explained my above problem. I was told that my phone (Blackberry 8700) was not on the "approved" list of phone to work with the vehicle. I did tell them that the bluetooth had been working fine for a few weeks and then the above noted problem. I also mentioned a problem with the LCD display in the spedometer area of the instrument cluster which would fade to barely readable at times. That was Wed.

Today I receive a call back from service saying that there "definitely is a problem" but they can't figure it out as of yet. The intermittent LCD problem which I described has now become a constant problem since they attempted to fix it. No estimate on completion, "could be 5 mins or 1 week".

AAARGH!! I guess I was too lucky with my other two Rover's which really had NO major problems of service issues. More to follow when I learn more. Oh incidently, on the loner LR3, my phone works fine.... so much for the initial guess that the phone was not compatible.

Ok, final update. I finally got by truck back from the shop. It had spent a full week in service. My service guy said that all the problems came from a faulty instrument cluster, that was replaced, the bluetooth reprogrammed and satellite reset. I have now had the car for a few days and everything seems to be working again. The bluetooth with my crackberry works flawlessly (for now) and the satellite is rocking. Hopefully this will be the last of these problems. Cheers everyone!

Sad, but true, the problem has reared it's ugly head again!! The LR3 worked for about 6 days straight then the Satellite locked up again. Bluetooth continued to work, but not the sat. Took it in and now Land Rover is going to replace the satellite unit. Hopefully that will put an end to this problem. I'll keep everyone posted.
