My husband got a landrover last week at a dealer 6 hours away...
the whole trip his phone worked great..never disconnected from the bluetooth. Now that he is home it constantly connects and disconnects...
even when it is in the house and the car is off.
I have connected the phone to my computer and it seems fine...no dropped connections at all.
thanks for any advice.

I have this problem constantly with both my BlackBerry and my regular cell phone. The Bluetooth system on the LR3 seems to be VERY unreliable. It will work falwlessly for stretches of time, and not at all at others. It's one of my biggest frustrations with the car.

Guys, I too have had problems with the Bluetooth and my cell phones. What worked for me is to have your dealer reprogram the bluetooth with the latest software. This solved 90% of my problems. Hope this helps.

Land Rover/ Nokia's blue tooth module is very sensitive to cell phone sofware level. Your cell phone can cause the audio system to lock up if it's not an approved phone. Please contact a dealer and ask them for an approved phone list. Land rover is Working on updating PTI software.

Just got my '06 LR3 back from the dealer with the latest phone software upgrade and the blue tooth actual works. I should mention that it took them 4 days (long story but they fried two computers trying to load the software) to download the patch but it actual works. They also told me there is a new patch coming in Feb '07. My phone is a Blackberry 8700c.
