Putting GMRS setup together. Ordered the Comet RS730 bracket. This is designed for CB use so the diameter is 1/2”. Several folks have bored the diameter out to 3/4”. I did this and found the threading impedes the wiring portion from sliding inside of the hole. My question is..
A) Should I go a size up on drill bit and bore further
B) Get a step bit ^^ or
C)
Cut a small slot in metal to allow portion of wiring to slide through and tighten antenna down
