I have a 1996 xs discovery with a locking problem. When I press the fob to lock it locks all the doors then straight away unlocks them and continues to do this over and over until I press the unlock on the fob. It has been doing this for a few days and I have been locking the door with the key but last night this broke the back of the barrel so I now can't lock the car at all. Any suggestions as to what I can do?

The issue is one of the door lock actuators is bad, probably the drivers door Actuator. If you live or work in a high crime area, replace the bad actuator, if not the vehicle is old enough most people will not bother with it.
