Hi to everyone. Hope somebody has had this problem. When I turn on ignition (position 2) both the fans are running in slow speed. This is regardless of AC switch position, when starting from cold in the UK with outside temp of 17 degrees c. Just seem to run all the time. They stop when ignition off. I have pulled fuse 31 for now to stop them running all the time. I have swapped out the relays etc to check so the call to run is coming before the fuse box! any ideas anyone.

Sounds like a temp sensor is bad, but could be an ECU or BECM error.

thanks for the reply,, temp sensors should be ok as the temp dial in the car works ok. I have disconnected both in the engine compartment and fans still run. Also I have disconnect both a/c pressure switches,, still run. Disconnecting the ecu relay in the fuse box stops them!! do you think this is a reset job in the ecu or is it blown! car runs fine,, otherwise,,, well,, apart from a recent problem with the tank level sensor,,, which I don't think is related?? I do have an LPG system fitted which I have removed power to. This wouldn't bring the fans on I don't think.

Could be bad fans then... but normally something is sending the power to them, so I would still think it is an outside sourse for power... they don't just turn on.
