Just read on Edmunds.com where over 5000 Jaguar XF and XK's with the 5 liter V8 (same as land rover) have been recalled because "the in tank electric fuel pump may not be correctly activated as the fuel pump relay is not energized following a vehicle start up cycle" I own a 2009 XF supercharged w/4.2 liter engine,so no effect on me there, but having this car prior to purchasing our 2010 Lr4 demonstrated to me that Jaguar and Land Rover are sharing numerous components,as I recognized much of the switchgear, almost identical info screen, keyless start system, etc. from the Jag. Once recently my wife left her Jag fob in her office at work and went to go to lunch and the Jag unlocked due to the presence of her Land Rover fob in her pocketbook! It did set off the alarm and the car would not start, but apparently the signals were close enough to let the door open! I remember some people on here talking about acceleration issues, the article mentions "engine stumble followed by engine cutout with minimal warning" Hope we don't see this!
