Hi Everyone,
Thank you for your time in sharing advice regarding this issue.
We have an 06 LR3. It has 195K miles and has been a great vehicle. A few days ago, upon starting the engine, it illuminated nearly every light on the dash. No recent repairs, mods, or computer resets/updates have been performed. (Last driven a few days earlier, it ran great.)
When started, the Vehicle lowered to access mode, "F" on the gear selector, Engine light on, Suspension light on, Tach works...speedo does NOT. Parking brake light illuminated. Might be more...
Steps taken so far:
1 - I laughed out loud, got in another car and ran my errand
2 - Plugged in the Gap IID tool and pulled the fault codes - reset them and they returned immediately.
3 - The battery was on the old side and measured below the necessary 12.51v, so replaced it with a good, Interstate ABM battery. Started it up...same deal.
From what I've read it sounds like next steps are to look for chewed wires, or an issue with the Communications bus? My understanding is that the comms bus is near the RH footwell? Any help on the location would be great. Is it a matter of funding a bad connection and soldering it, or more of a part replacement situation?
Thanks again for your time and inputs...They are appreciated!
-Paul
