Alright i'll start from the begining so to speak. Awhile back i thought my fuel pump went out. I replaced it and found out that was not the problem. Disco mike told me to try a crank sensor. Cha-Ching god bless you mike. Two months later, it is sitting in my drive way like another sensor is dead! I have exchanged 2 sensors with no luck.checked the roll over switch , and it is ok. If i JUmp the fuel pump it comes on. Any one have any ideas
before i loose my cool and scrap a $4000 suv?

So what exactly is happening? Have you checked/replaced the fuel pump relay, how about your inerita switch?

I have fire, but no fuel. inertia switch has not been tripped, relays are new,and if you pull the relay and jump the pump you can here it run. It has a new airtex pump and a new bosch crank sensor. My father-in law's shpop has an actron scanner. The only thing it said was purge valve open.

Found it!! This morning i took the fuel pump out. To my surprise, i found a clogged fuel pump! I guess when i was doing the install the first time, buggs and dust found it's way into the tank. I had the hole covered, but not good enough i guess. To solve the problem i did the following. I had an airtex 3240 in the disco. This style pump uses a common fuel strainer.the disco designed pump does'nt require a pump mounted style strainer, so there is'nt any room to put on on. So i cut the bottom of the black pump housing off flush, where the original screen filter was. This allowed me to install an airtex fs9 fuel strainer to the pump. the shape of the strainer is round, and fits into the pump housing with ease! I also purchased an airtex 3270. This pump is for GM v-8 apps such as GM trucks, vetts, camaros, firebirds, caddys, and so on. The 3240 pump is for GM v-6 and 4 cyl apps. The 3270 pump to me gave a better throttle response. I would rather have a v-8 fuel pump in my V-8 disco for the added fuel pressure! Thanks mike for responding to my post. I really appreciate your effort to help!
