Do Disco II bumpers fit Disco I's?

Hi... I'm new to these forums and I have a 97 Disco. The rear bumper is the three-piece plastic thing. One of my endcaps is pretty loose. I was looking online and saw the Disco II rear bumper, it's a plastic one-piece bumper with the word "Discovery" in the center. It looks almost identical in size and shape to mine, but since it's online I can't test it myself. Does anyone know if that would fit FOR SURE? Otherwise, any advice on how to tighten one of the rear bumper caps? Thanks

I do not beleive the D2 bumpers will Fit the D1... too wide.

There are two bolts behind the bumper that should tighten the end caps... Or if you have a welder handy, make some nice caps for the ends

okay cool, I'll go check that in a minute. You saved me from making a $300 mistake! If the bolts are missing, what should I do?

the bolts sould be there, the nuts may be gone... if so, just put new ones on...

Okay, I checked it out and you were right, it looks like two simple screws... Only problem is one has broken off a little. No biggie though. Thanks
