I know this is an old thread... but I'm experiencing a similar vibration and was wondering if you did the conversion(s) listed above and if it took care of the problem?

Thanks!

YES!
I replaced the roto coupler and it has been fine for two years. No vibration or any other problems since replacement.

Good Luck!

Fuel Pump and Ignition Switch Lock

Fuel pump died again after 3 years. $500 plus for the whole assembly but I just need the motor. So I ordered one for $99 on ebay. I'll elt everyone know if it works out ok.

Also, incredibly, when I was trying to start my 97 Disco where my son left it after the pump went out the enitre ignition switch lock basically disintegrated. All of the insides, tumblers and all, where you insert the key came out.

I had to get it flatbedded home and I was able to diengage the steering wheel lock with a screwdriver.

Craziest thing I have ever seen and I have had my disco from many years now.

Also orderd a new ignition switch lock assembly with two keys on ebay for about $200. They wanted almost $600 at all of the rover part stores on line and the used rover part shop didn't have either my fuel pump or the ignition assembly.

Anyone else have this happen to them with their igntion switch lock and key???
