driving rpms

what are your rpm's at when going 60mph? mine is at about 2500+. the stealership said that is ok because it is an off road vehicle but that seems a little high for that little engine.

That sounds about right. It is a V6 and all. My 91 RR's V8 is about 2900 at 70-75mph so 2500 @ 60 sounds right for the freelander. I'll check in my SE3 on the way home from work. Try shifting into 5th in the manual mode to see if that makes any difference.
