What DVD system? If you have the "Land Rover" kit DVD installed, it's basically wired into AUX. (You put the dummy plug in and it "switches.") If the sound is really bad, you have an issue... talk to your service department.

They can pull up this technical bulletin, which might apply:
KIT Accessory DVD Poor Sound Quality
Reference: LA415-002

I have dealer installed Rosen. Sound quality through both headseats and over the HK system is great. The HK system (HSE) is like theater surround sound.
Like other posts for ipod, etc, it runs through AUX and you do have to turn up the volume to make your seat rock.

You may have to adjust front to rear fade for third row passengers since a speaker sits just to the side of the head. A friend or two has mentioned this to me.

Will mention the DVD tech bulletin to LR thanks Grommet.

Yes it is the LR installed Rosen DVD system. The sound is really distorted, hopefully I can get the sound issues relsoved, I expected the system to be awesome with the HK sound upgrade :)
