my 2000 se has a severe exhaust leak but i am unable to locate it....the air seems to be escaping from where the 2nd pipe back, on the drivers side is mounted the the manifold....i assumed it was the mainfold gasket but replacing it has made no difference...it sounds like a loud sputtering sound, and she is running rough at idle with reduced power if you try to drive in in the driveway...................suggestions?

Could be a cracked manifold or a bad donut gasket.

problem

Could be a cracked manifold or a bad donut gasket.

i guess i really will need the cd, how much do you need for shipping?
i pulled the exhaust manifold and discovered the problem.....there is a section of head gasket sticking out of the engine, so i will have to tackle that. how big a a job is it? and if it were you, would you just go ahead and do both sides? where is the best place to order the gaskets from? thank you for all your help. douglas

Rave CD if you can't download it, send me a PM with your address and I will put it in the mail.

Gasket if it is the head gasket... I would pull them both and do the both. Varies opinions on gaskets, but I would replace the head bolts with a better option. I will see if I can get the info for ordering them.
