Hi,

I have a 2016 LR4. Base model. 98k
It developed an exhaust leak. Coming form the engine area. I'm pretty sure it's the manifold. Not sure if it's a gasket, bolt or crack yet.
Has anyone had this problem in the recent past and how much was the fix?

Thanks in advance.

I have not had the problem. If you're doing it yourself the torque spec is a good bit lower than you'd expect.

others on here have reported broken exh manifold bolts over the years. I have not experienced it personally.

When I was a kid we would pop the hood of a V8 with an engine bay so big you could climb inside and spray the water hose on the exhaust manifold to watch it boil and steam. Turns out that will crack the manifold lol. Not sure how the exhaust manifold is impacted when the engine is hot and its submerged while crossing a river? I wonder if that could crack the exhaust manifolds too?
