Matt - My steering wheel they shipped is 1 piece. What do you mean by 2 piece steering wheel?

There is a one peice steering wheel that has wood just at the top of the wheel & a 2 peice wheel that has wood at both the top and bottom...

Where did you read formal instructions on removing the shift knob?

Well i got the Whole Package today
1) The 8 Peice Woodgrain Kit For An HSE
2) 2 Peice Steering Wheel
3) Shift Knob

Next up was the shift knob, I pushed down and turned to the left and when i did so i heard a big snap, i just said what the heck here the plastic peice that extends from the shift knob snapped in half, so there is a 6 inch peice of plastic that broke off and fell down into the car, so i guess i am out the $100 deposit on this item, but then i realized i couldn't move my car and it was stuck in park, so for the next hour i fooled aournd with 2 peices of wire and finally grabbed onto it and pulled it out, and when i got it out i saw that the peice was defective and had 2 crakes in it and i broke it on the 3rd crake that was in it, so i called up my dealer and told them what happened and they agreed front me the deposit if i brought the broken peice over and showed they the crakes so i will do this tomorrow... but here is where is got fun, I opened up the box that was labeled LR3 Wood Shift Knob and they had screwed up and put a Range Rover Shift Knob in that box so now my car is not drivable for at least the next 2 days because i called the company but they were closed for the day so i e-mailed them and will call tomorrow telling them to send out the new shift knob overnight so i can drive my car... (i will let you know what pans out)... so after all of this it was onto the steering wheel, being the bright 20 year old college student i am i could not get it off no matter how hard i tried so once i get my new shift knob installed i have a buddy who owns a shop and called him up and he will do the wheel... once this is all done i will post pictures...

Let me know if you got any more ?'s

How do you remove the shift knob? Do you hold the button in while pressing down and turning to the left? How do you put new one in?

I posted this in your other thread, I got formal instructions from the company, just e-mail them and ask them because you do not want to break it as you can read what i had to go through to get that peice of plastic out...

I had the same problem when i replaced mine with a woodgrain shift knob about a month ago, i was told to twist and pull but apon doing so i cracked the shift knob, when i called the company of the woodgrain they instructed me that all you need to do is grab it, make sure the buttom is pulled out and pull really hard, that is what i did when i needed it off and it worked just fine, the key is to not push in on the button when you hold it...

if anyone is still viewing this thread, any link to a LR produced shirt knob, cup holder etc wood trim? looks like it's only for the vents and radio surround.

Thanks Jack. Will check. I'm more concerned with the wood that would surround the gearshift. I was thinking of ordering the LR OEM wood for $750 or so that surround the air vents and the radio and then MAYBE just getting the stainless/chrome that surrounds the gearshift and the cup holders. I wasn't sure if it would look stupid with two different materials. The other brand everyone talks about is just too expensive for me considering I just bought an 06 LR3 SE and don't really want to dump too much money into it. I did get an A Frame Protective Bar and the front and rear lamp guards to beef it up a bit.
