Apologies I missed this (motor mount ref) in all my surfing.
I found bottom half of fan shroud wasn’t fully seated (pushed home) I believe from original manufacture.
Fixing that slowed down recurrence of fan fault, but hasn’t got rid of it fully.
Bottom shroud brushes still lightly contact fan blade.
I just changed motor mounts on an Audi A4 B7 manual that we have owned from new (18 years) and that fixed problems I didn’t know we had… drives like new again!
Will confirm motor mounts fix when I get back to that.
Appreciated.
Note - lean codes still plaguing me.
