When I bought my 98 Disco I noticed that the fog light lens seemed loose on both sides. Today I figured I would take them apart, clean them and put them back together. No problem on the driver’s side however the passenger’s side was completely rust through and the inside mirrored part fell apart in my hands.

Does anyone know if I can place both sides with Bosch or some other rectangular light or do I need to buy a new right side fog from the dealer?

Thanks

You can replace with anything that will fit, just keep in mind it still can't use more voltage/ampreage than the originals or you will need to upgrade the wiring.

The lights I had were the factory ones that had standard H3 12V bulbs.

Since I need to use the factory mounts (they screw in from the sides) I was wondering if anyone knew of a direct replacement or at least something that may require limited modifications.

On another note, if I want to add round fogs to my brush guard, do I mount the toggle switch to the inside dash somewhere or can I use a real Land Rover switch where one of my blanks are?

Thanks

Thanks

You can use a land rover switch, but keep in mind most aftermarket lights will require you to use a relay to activate them or you will burn up the wiring harness.

Missing Fog Lights

The 98' Disco that I will be purchasing from my colleague doesn't have any foglights on the original Discovery bullbar. Any info on the original brand and picture sent will be highly appreciated? Thanks.

cheapest way to do this is just buy some aftermarket ones... don't buy factory style, they don't work very well anyways.

There is a huge scrapyard here which sells original parts at very, very cheap prices. I have a September 06 issue of Land Rover Monthly, is Wipac the original fog light for the Disco?

I have a set of LR fogs from my 98 Disco. If I can find, you can have them for $25 + shipping.

PS I am out of town so may not be able reply right away

Thanks for the offer. I will consider it if I wouldn't find any at the scrapyard.
