I was going to replace my pads on my D1 this weekend when i pulled off the tire and looked at the brakes it was not your normal setup. Have a few questions:

There were 4 5/8 hex headed bolts on back of caliper do I need to remove them to remove the caliber? If So there was one I could not get how does it get removed.

Can I just pull out the (what look like) locker pin with coter pins on one side holding the pads together?

I just need some step by step help if any one can help.

yup, all you do is take out those retaining pins and the pads will come out. just watch your brake fluid level when you compress the piston to put the new pads in.
