Fuel Injector removal on SCV6

Are the injectors on the 5.0 and the SCV6 the same? This tool states for 5.0, but does not mention if it will work on the SCV6.

I'm pretty sure it's the same. The 5.0 and 3.0 have a lot in common. The 3.0 is the 5.0 engine with 2 cylinders blanked off.

Yeah I am aware of all those similarities was just not sure about the injection and other minor changes, as I know/thought they made some improvements in design.

Oh, you're right. I just search for an injector for a 2015 LR4 and it looks different. The fuel connectors are threaded vs the 5.0 o-ring.

I would make my own slide hammer by finding out the size of the injectors pitch and thread. Removal would be easier than the 5.0 without having to deal with the 2 injectors next to the firewall.

The injectors are different, but the tool will work just fine. It was the same tool I used to remove the injectors on my SCV6

Thanks. I ordered it then realized it did not mention working on the 3.0 so was not sure if I needed to return as I may not immediately need it.
