fuse #20

i have a 1999 range rover 4.0 with a #20 blown fuse,,,, keeps blowin even with key out....unplugged everything under drivers seat....which #20 is for.... and found that the black box attached to the seat with the four sets of wires runnin to it .... if i leave the biggest plug unplugged it doesnt blow,,, but the controls dont work either.... any ideas guy.... thanks for the help,,

fuse 20

well after looking at the diagram it looks like the fuse is in the body control module .if it has memory seat or not is the question .the wiring diagram is different . most of the time I see a wire going to the seat back shorted out on the frame . hope this helps

my rover does have mem seats..... unpluged everything removed black box under seat that was attached to the underside of the seat... open box and looked at the board.... looked ok... nothing burnt up... plugged everthing back up one at a time and waited to hear the fuse pop like before...,,,. nothing happen... it was workin again ... all seat switches were work right.... left everything in the back floor board cause i was pertty sure it wasnt fixed cause i had not did anything,,, just took it apart and put it back together.... on my way home hit a bump and heard fuse pop.... *** ..... before went i replaced the fuse it would pop..... now i can put in a new fuse and ride awhile but soon as i hit a bad bump it blows...... any ideas..... thanks for your input... i will check the wires leadin up the back of the seat.... hope thats it
