I have an LR3 on order here in Texas. Having a home in the mountains of New Mexico I have been looking for replacement tires from the stock offerings. I noticed on the Land Rover website for the G4 challenge that they are using Goodyear MT/R tires. However I have not been able to determine what size this is on the LR3's so equipped. Someone saw the LR3 G4 vehicle at this years SEMA show in Las Vegas and thought that the size was on an 18" wheel. I got a response back from a Goodyear rep on the internet and he shows now available a 275/65 R 18 MT/R. Not sure if this size is what is on the G4 LR3. And not sure if this size will cause any clearance issues. Hopefully this is the tire that will fit the LR3.

If anyone here knows the size of Goodyear on the G4 LR3 please advise. Or for that matter what is the max recommended size for the 18" & 19" wheels.

The G4 LR3 on the website apears to have the HSE 19" wheels. Whatever they are running on 19s, those of us with the 18" wheels should be able to run even taller sidewalls! I'd run 16 inch wheels if they cleared the rotors and calipers.

Not having seen the LR3 personally, except some photos, my guess is that unless the wheel arches have been enlargened, more so than earlier model LR's, the 275x60x18's will not fit, as this gives the tire a height of 32". I could be wrong.
Perhaps, mwillems might chime in with what size his vehicle is wearing.

They are the standard size for the 19" wheels--255/55R19. These are available in England, and you may be able to import them. Last I checked, they were not listed in the US website.

Just got confirmation from Goodyear that the size available in the US is 275/65R 18 . That is not that much wider than stock but the height is a good deal taller. There will be no 19" available in the US. So what are the chances this size will fit without rubbing ? Does Land Rover list a max size in any publications for either wheel size ?

Outrageous, the 19" are not listed on US site either. What is the cost of the 19" MTR in the UK ?

I picked up my LR3 on a Monday and after two days in the snow, drove it to the Tire Dealer and replaced the OEM 255/60-18 Goodyears with new 265/60/18 Yokohama Geolandar H/T-S G052 after doing some research at Tire Rack (http://www.tirerack.com/) . After a long weekend in the mountains and 15 inches of new snow, I know I made the right choice. Handling improved and they looked better on the LR3.

Still liking those Yokahamas? I'm about to have them put on this afternoon.

According to my dealer here in Victoria, the Pirellis were standard issue on the LR3's bound for Canada only during a brief window. They have since gone back to the Wranglers. Does anyone know if the MT/R's are available in Canada in the the 255/55R19" for the HSE ?
