Kinda helps to know what size you really need before slamming the experts.:stupid:

Ouch! You guys can get rough. This is not the usual warm LRW welcome. This guys 1st post must have been insanely inflammatory - glad I missed it.

Easy fellas... everyone makes mistakes. I would however like to know if anyone has a source for the "OLD MTR's" not the new Kevlar ones? The Kevlar only has the C load rating and apparently the legacy MTR's which are phased out are an E rating. Discount Tire/America's Tire was a bust.
Most appreicated! Charles

A couple of thoughts, depending on what you are using the truck for, people out here in the Rockies run a 285 and usually the Nitto Grappler.
Try going on line to the Tire rack, if they don't have what you want, then they are no available.
As for the MTR, one down side of them is their soft rubber tread ment short mileage, they just wore out to quick compared the the BFG of the time.

Well it does appear that I should have put my foot in my mouth before I started to regurgitate *******. Anyway the guy at the particular goodyear tire shop I went to wasn't talking about the specific tire I wanted. He loudly explained to me that they didn't make them for anything but 15, 16, 17 and 20" rims. I was wondering about the tread life of the MTRs. I assumed they would be soft, but wasn't sure how soft. Anyone have experience? I am in south Louisiana so I usually find myself in a wet and muddy situations. I also spend alot of time in the sand. I plan to make my way to rocky conditions this summer. With that said, if at anytime I ask a stupid question or anything else idiotic for that matter, never hesitate to harshly bust my balls. If anyone on here is located from Houston, tx to New Orleans, La give me a call. I am always up for meeting new people and finding places to ride. Cheers!! - Michael
