British Parts of Utah or Atlantic British.
Do you have a shop manual, if not you might down load a free copy of a Rave CD for a guide.
Don't forget to replace your plug wires, if they haven't been done yet, also your t/stat with a new soft spring Motorad 439-180, change to a green coolant and good luck.
If you need any help shout.

I would suggest we talk before you start this project, if you want to and should, send me your number so I can make sure you are going into this knowing what you are doing. Yes your Dad is right, Rover head bolts are stretch bolts and can only be used once.
Do you have a machine shop lined up to work on your head?
By the way, how many miles on the engine?

Yes I do have machine shop already lined up already so that we can get the heads checked and possibly reshaved... The guy I bought it from put a different motor in that he got used from I'm sure junk yard, the tachometer says 177k, . So we shall hopefully not have anymore bad news when we get to taking apart.. the good thing is my father is a heavy equipment mechanic and auto mechanic so,, saving a lot on labor with him and I doing it..

So, neither of you have been inside an old Buick 215 have don't have a clue what to look for as you tear it apart, like valve train wear, lifter wear, soft cam lobe wear along with a new timing chain and oil pump repair kit.

Hey mike on that rave manual, that's just a guide correct ? Not the actual service manual correct?

For free, it is pretty good, it is not as much of a manual as the CD for the D2's but it should be all you will need.
