I've just finished a head gasket job and now I have a heater core leak (2001 disco II with 107k miles). The severity of the leak makes me think it's the core and not just the o-rings that need replacing. The RAVE manual says that the whole dash/centre console have to come out which seems a real pain. I saw in another thread that it's possible to get at the core through an access panel on the passenger side under the carpet. There was no further information and I wondered if anybody has done this. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated as I'm not looking forward to taking the dash out.
