There isn't a real easy way to tell. Normally you could just look to see if the spare wheel matches the rest of them on the truck. I would say there is about a 90% chance that if the spare matches, the LR3 has the HD package.

Put your suspension in "OFF-ROAD" height. Look into the passenger side rear wheelwell and look for a white plastic cylinder (about the size of a redbull can) with a wiring harness connected to it, on the top of the rear diff. That's the rear locker motor housing. If it isn't there, you don't have the HD package. ;) You will be 100% sure.

Thanks for the pic! That's exactly what my diff looks like but I don't have the full size spare. How odd is that??

Well now I'm questioning if that is a locker actuator or not. I have a full-sized alloy spare, but haven't compared to other LR3s.
