Heavy duty???

How can a person tell if an LR3 is heavy duty?

There isn't a real easy way to tell. Normally you could just look to see if the spare wheel matches the rest of them on the truck. I would say there is about a 90% chance that if the spare matches, the LR3 has the HD package.

Put your suspension in "OFF-ROAD" height. Look into the passenger side rear wheelwell and look for a white plastic cylinder (about the size of a redbull can) with a wiring harness connected to it, on the top of the rear diff. That's the rear locker motor housing. If it isn't there, you don't have the HD package. You will be 100% sure.

Well now I'm questioning if that is a locker actuator or not. I have a full-sized alloy spare, but haven't compared to other LR3s.
