Mine is a '97 Disco SD with only 81K miles on the clock. During the the seven years I have owned this fine car, only problems have been a bad brake light switch and a couple of faulty door lock actuators. Until now that is ...
When cold, the engine turns over briskly, fires right up, and runs great. After parking for a short while, the starter turns sluggishly and threatens not to start ... until it's final gasp then it does fire up and run normally. My fear is that someday soon, it will refuse to start and leave me stranded. This car is begging for some seasonal attention!
What should I do?

Either a battery going bad, or the starter is going bad... I would start by having the battery checked.
