I have a '96 D1 that started life as a model car in HK for use by LR in Asian motor shows till '98 then became one of the first in China when in use by an Ambassador here in Beijing. I purchased it in '05 and now use it for the daily commute and trips to the Gobi!
LandRovers are the Chinese 'New Rich' car of choice so I get a lot of credit with my 'Classic' from the RR and RRSport drivers around the country!
I love the car, but with the difficulty and cost of fixing it over here, everyones help in the forum is much more appreciated than you can imagine - its not easy fixing the thing when it breaks down over 2000km from the nearest dealer! (but thats another story!) hope to get some photos for you all on here soon.
