Help ! 3rd brake light at top of rear door on

just bought a 04 Disco, is the 3rd brake light suppose to always be on? all my other lights work fine.

Does brake light work normally otherwise, sounds like a bad bulb somewhere or brake light switch.

No, it is not supposed to be on all the time.

Correction! I meant its always on at night when I turn the lights on ... My question is it only suppose to turn on when I step on the brake or on and brighten up when I brake?

problem solved

it was a bad bulb that was causing all the havoc.
