I have an "Emergency Incident Response Vehicle" that allows me to range from mountain tops to river bottoms. It is fitted out to access fire roads and cow paths in the Verdugo Mountains and the Big Tujunga nature preserve, both of which people like to fall off of or into at any given moment. The smallest vehicle the Los Angeles Fire Dept has in my district is a brush patrol 4 wheel drive pickup loaded with fire supressent gear. Although unauthorized, it is not out of the ordinary for me to carry a paramedic rescue team to a remote site where the PB can't drive in. I cover an incident or two a week, and in some cases 2-3 a day when the conditions are bad. Enjoy the photos.
