Reviving this old thread

2012 LR4 HSE LUX 2nd owner currently approaching 154k - purchased right out of warranty from a guy in Malibu. Called LR with VIN for repair history before purchasing. Well maintained, no issues other than a water pump replacement under warranty. That's what I was looking for - no recurring issues.

I've had 3 LR3's, first one purchased in 2007. Disco; this is my first LR4 purchased 5 yrs ago. I've put over 80k miles on it. Driven from CO to Belize and many other trips, but no major off roading (yet!)

Here's what I've done to her:

Regular oil changes
Rotors / tires 2x's & brake fluid
Battery
Windshield
Air filters

I take it to a LandRover specialist and they said it needs:
Timing chain and sprockets
Front control arm bushings
Tires

Everything else looks good, no rust and everything on her works! Even the entertainment system and console cooler.

My husband want to do the work so we're going to give her an overhaul to get us through the next 150k miles without a glitch so we're going to replace:

Timing chain, tensioners, guides, water pump, thermostat, sprockets and spark plugs
Transmission filter & pan
Brake lines
Front Control arms
Flush and replace coolant
replace worn hoses and belts

In my experience if there's been no repetitive issues by this mileage, preventative maintenance should keep her going well into the 300k range.

86k. It's my daily driver. 100 mile daily round trip commute. I'm at the gas station every 2-3 days filling up. Oil changes every 6-7k miles (that's every 3 months or so). I must admit, it's getting tiring.

Done just about everything except the chains. Some because it needed it, some because I wanted to.

plugs
wheel bearings
trans fluid
all bushings to poly
tie rods
All fluids multiple times
front diff refreshed when I put in the locker
Rear bearing carriers
rear toe rods
front valve block
crossovers

major items on the list are chains/tensioners (if I ever think it needs them), injectors, steering rack, and walnut blasting the valves

How is the ride with the poly bushings? Are they the green ones from AB?

After researching, I got the orange ones from L8. Supposedly they are the closest to the factory.

I have had them a bit less than a year and have no complaints. I will admit I am not overly sensitive to ride issues, but I honestly can't tell a difference from the previous 2 sets of factory bushes. I also have no squeaking as of yet.
