Instrument Cluster - Shows a different date

Does anyone know why the date on the instrument cluster next to the mileage show a date of 1/20/2009
when the vehicle Range Rover sport is a 2012? and it is not todays date?

Did your battery recently die or get changed or disconnected?

I am not sure about the battery, but they did have to remove and replace the harness for the backup camera. Do you think that was it?

If that is the case, battery or harness, how do I get them to reset the correct date? Any Answers?
