Largest tire w/o lift? 1998 Disco LE

Just bought a 1998 LE in great condition except for bald rear tires. Would like to get the biggest, "knobbiest" (but still highway confortable) tires you can put on the standard rims - but without requiring a lift kit (yet!).

What's the size?

245/75-16 May rub just a hair during hard offroading though.

I ran 245 75r16 on my 98 lse wild cat ext from les schwab
I have lots of sidewall gashes and chunks missing but I have never had
them let me down never had to resort to the spare
and for about 640 a set you can't go wrong
also they are low noise on the hwy
