I park in my garage and just leave my key in it. The problem is if I don't hit the unlock button before I get out of the car, the back doors and trunk stay locked. It drives me crazy. Is this a setting that can be changed?

I have the same problem and haven't found a way to override the system.

Sorry for resurrecting this old thread, but wondering if there is any resolution. We just traded in our 2010 LR4 for a 2012 RR S/C and the two things we miss the most are 1) keyless unlocking - ability to just walk up to truck and unlock it as long as you have the key. Who would have imagined that this would be on an LR4 and not on a full RR and 2) automatic unlocking of all doors when we park and open a front door. On the LR4 as soon as you parked, turned off the engine and opened a front door, all the remaining doors unlocked. Not on the RR - you have to manually unlock all doors. It's a real PITA when you have kids to get out from the back.

Is there any solution to the unlocking issue?

We too purchased a 2012 FFRR LUX and are experiencing the same frustration. When we bought her, I didn't even check to see if that feature existed. I "assumed" for the dollars paid that this was an embedded feature.

Add to this, we live in the Lake Tahoe area, where we get our fair share of snow. The master minds at Land Rover equip the FFRR with summer tires. In-spite of the aforementioned, I faithfully own this and a RR Sport!?

What I find strange is that RR , as well as LR in general, fails to provide a user friendly interface to allow changing of settings for remote controls and various other functions such as door locking, auto headlight delay (darkness delay level) etc. I sold a 2012 Dodge Challenger that had so many functions it was unbelievable, and on-line searches found ways to access dozens more. Not so with LR/RR. You go to the dealer if it can be done at all.

Incidentally with the DRL's...some dealers won't do it, others will. Many of the US cars end up with dimmed HID or Halogen headlights as part of the DRL setup so unless you're willing to put up with that, you need to check close as to what will happen when getting the DRL's done. I had an Evoque and the dealer would not attempt to do them as he stated the US cars are not so equipped. Same with the Land Rover LR4's. Love the look but not the consequences of dimmed headlights as part of the show.

Cheers!

Did you try pulling the door handle half way to unlock the doors, then the rest of the way to open your door?
