The V8 is more powerful, but if you never owned a V8, the SCV6 will be fine. I'm just not a fan of the rotary shift wheel, eco-stop and mandatory running boards that came with the refresh in 2014. Reliability will be about the same for a 2013 thru 2016, which is pretty good. $2000/year in maintenance is realistic from my experience. If you have 15 minutes and a mityvac you can easily do your own oil and filter changes.
