I just took delivery of a Range Rover Vogue 2010. First problem was that the dealer forgot to hand over the iPod cable! After wasting a weekend looking for one and being classified crazy by every Apple store in town for stating this was a standard iPod cable, I discovered that the cable was OEM when new.

This morning I persuaded the salesman to give me a new cable after he tried to con me out of $145!! As if....

I connected my iPod touch (2nd generation) and the sound quality is terrible, even with high volume I can hardly hear the voice.

Is the problem the iPod, do I need a newer one or do I need some kind of booster?

Second question, can I see video thru the iPod on the central console. If so, how?

Thomas,

I had the same issue with my 2nd gen IPod, but either generation iphone 1-4 works fine with no issues.

My daughters touch works without issue as well, the manual does state that the
IPod Shuffle, or other generations may not function.

Also as it stands no video can be transmitted but I will toy with it and see if I come up something.
