I just bought a 2008 LR3 from a Rover dealership and it was Certified by their Techs. I have had this for about 3 weeks and I started noticing a light hissing/grinding sound from the back driver side wheel area while at low speeds. Kind of like a brake indicator sounds... I can't imagine techs missing a bad wheel bearing and they said the brakes need to be 50% or over in order to be certified so I don't think that is the concern. Any ideas?

Thanks for your help and Happy Holidays from KY!

I hope its not the case for you like it was for me... but I had a similar sound shortly after my purchase and it was the rear differential. I had to get a whole brand new rear diff after I was scratching my head thinking there was a stone grinding on a rotor or something.

I would assume you have at least a 30 day warranty from the dealer.... I would work on getting a proper diagnosis ASAP!

thanks Biagetti. Good Lord I hope that isn't the case. I have about a week left on my 30 day and I just contacted the Dealership last week (and again today). Their is a dealership rather close to me but I actually bought this from another dealership that is 2 hours away so hopefully they will allow me to take it to the local one to get it checked and repaired. Who knows.

I'll let you know what the word is...

Thanks for you help and Happy New Year.

Could be the brake drum for the Electronic Park Brake, too....needing adjustment or replacement.
