My '11 LR4 had a sunroof drain issue that left the passenger carpet and underpadding damp. I've run a dehumidifier in the car for about 10 straight days to pull the moisture and that's helped but now I've got the below faults

- ABS fault
- Stability control not available
- Emergency brake assist not available
- HDC not available
- Parking brake fault
- Ride height lowered

I've disconnected the neg terminal and done a reset (touching both) but the faults remain. I'm assuming the moisture messed with the myriad electrical connections in the passenger footwell/under floor area. Any ideas where I should target before I start checking all the connections?

Thanks in advance

Yes… I have had the same issues and I did (wrongly) assume it was related to the leak, now fixed.
In fact, the EPB module went on the fritz.
Firstly, we tried an aftermarket replacement… why do we even bother.
The OE replacement fixed everything.

But to add, I got into the habit years ago of electrical contact cleaner in the connector and Liquid Electrical Tape on most connectors, where the wires enter the connector. Reason being, I’m in the habit of washing the engine bay where others have warned me not to do that. I do this all the time now. Never a problem.

Dude thank you (for both the incredibly quick response and the wisdom!)

Do Not touch the battery cables together. That could fry circuit boards that have capacitors. On newer vehicles, definitely would affect the backup battery in the Telematics module.

Pull the step plate at the right front door and inspect the wiring harness for breaks. The harness channel will fill up with water and create all sorts of issues.

I would not assume it had nothing to do with the leak like @itsaguything stated. Check electrical connections behind the passenger footwell for dampness or signs of corrosion. I recommend fixing the sunroof leak BEFORE replacing any electrical components. Even if the water isn't reaching the electrical connections, you will eventually end up with a rusty hole in your passenger floor board. As with houses, water intrusion is the enemy.
