I have a 96 Disco I SE and it seems like all of these problems may be related. Here is what is going on. The light for the clock is always off, but the clock works, sometimes the lights for the heat controls go out and sometimes they work. The rear windows sometimes don't work, from either the main consol or the back seat controls, but sometimes they do work in both places the either work or don't at the same time. The passenger side rear lights have been doing the same, work sometimes and then not, but not the whole side, just the top two lights. Finally, the radio has recently display some kind of error and occasionally stopped working. I have checked the fuses under the dash and all tested fine. I am wondering if this is the headlight stalk or possibly something else. One more thing, the front fog lights don't work (could just be burned out), and there is an electrical whine that increases or decrease with RPM's, could all this be a bad ground. I am totally lost and in Idaho, with the closest dealer 400 miles away. If this is easy to fix try to walk me through it. Thanks in advance.
