Have owned 97 and 98 5 speed, sold both 5 years ago after draining funds, swore I would never buy another, well I did it again, a deal I could not walk away from, once you own one you will always come back. Looking forward to good reads here.

The D2 will ride smoother though... but you are correct, the D1's are easier to work on.
