Just took my LR3 in for its first service. 7.5K oil service. The service writer came back after about 10 minutes and had a list of "recalls." From memory it was about three or four. Mostly what was discussed earlier in the thread about the LR letter. I should get the vehicle back later this afternoon. I'll post the codes and what they did.

Just got a call from LR regarding the "vehicle Enhancement Program" though the caller did refer to it as a recall. Appt. scheduled for next week..... Will let y'all know if I notice any changes. Some on the UK site have noticed a little more "oomph" and a tauter suspension. I'm just hoping for a fix for the suspension faults...

dawg, who called you, Bellevue or Seattle? I wonder why those guys haven't called me ? Did you prompt them at all, such as by mentioning this to you?

Houm,

They called me (LR Bellevue). I had filled out the online service request form (via their website) requesting an appt. for the "enhancement program, when available" and some other issues but I had the distinct feeling that this was separate. Caller said that he was calling about recalls for my LR3. They might be working off a list in order of delivery date (mine was 1/05). It always seems like when I use the online appt. form that I get a call to schedule about 2-3 weeks AFTER I've gone ahead and brought it in for service!

btw Congrats on your Beavs winning the College World Series!

Huom, I'm a Beaver, too. That was a great series! Going down to Corvallis weekend of the 8th. Have got to go and pick up some Series "gear"....that and my 20-year high school reunion. Ouch, I'm old.

Dawg, I think I'll just talk to them about that at my next service...22,500. My Rover has really been running good lately. Many big missions...camping, off-roading, down to Portland. It's really starting to behave itself nicely. Interestingly, the navigation and radio crapped out reporting a "Temperature Error" as it had done before...I had the dealership re-insulate the unit and they figured that would do it. Anyhow, so my son and I shut down the heat and basically let the cabin cool off...and to my surprise, after about 7 minutes the system came back on-line by itself...no reboot ! So maybe it was just designed to protect itself. All I know is that every time this has happened, I've had the sunroof open and the heat on in some capacity (usually one click of heat on my feet or something).

Anyhow, yeah I'm proud of my beavs, that's for sure. san6279...glad that you're a Beav too, 'cause you're in the Seattle area too, right? Anyhow....the series was amazing !!! I loved it. Have a good trip to Corvallis....I'm actually in Portland right now for the holiday weekend. I love Corvallis. I might just retreat there for my mid-life crisis (can't wait!) but for now I just get down there for football games.

...and you're only 5 years older than me, so don't sweat it.

If there were a lot of owners on this board that were younger than me, then I'd feel worse !

btw Looks like I'll be getting a new compressor as well as the software update(s) next week as I'm now getting the suspension fault message everytime within 5 minutes of starting the car w/o even touching the suspension switch. When I do try to raise the suspension (before the message appears) nothing happens or it's happening too slowly to notice.

For the unofficial age poll, same old age as san6279! =)

Safety Notice

Just got my "invite" for a service bulletin, which I thought would be for all of this stuff. It was for something related to ignition/transmission programming that would keep the ignition key from being removed from any gear other than Park. Not sure what that is about. Anyone else heard about this?

Just got the transmission re-program notice today. Yeah, it's something about the key coming out when the car isn't in park.
I'm going in in a couple of weeks for my first service (12500Km in Canada) so I'll get them to update all of the software then.
