That sucks. How long have you had your LR3?

I wonder if a person can feel better if they haven't experienced this after x number of years of ownership???

Is there any pattern we have seen with this problem? For instance, sunroof usage patterns, or parking under trees where the drains can get compromised or types of rainfall...or ANYTHING?

Roverman, sorry about your leak; I hope you get it all repaired alright.

For me it was opening the passenger door and having a small flood land on my shoes. :hmpf:

Dealer was cool about it though, put in all new carpet.

those water leaks are so preventable.
all you have to do is to pull off the passenger side intake cover, and the rubber underneath it and the big sponge,

cut the star shaped hose and blow it out and pour water down it.
cut a small channel in the sponge and half your problems are solved.

of course you can still get a leak from the a pillar outer trim panels.

Sandman, thanks. I'll have the dealer do that this week, going in for service anyway. Todd, only had it two weeks. To top it off, that stupid a pillar cover nearly blew all the way off on the xway yesterday. No big deal, just need to replace those clips I guess. Just bad luck so far. I was parked with the front end lower, I think that exacerbates the problem a little. Was amazed though when i felt up in the headliner, not just water, but a couple of those "helicopter" tree seeds were in there! I wouldn't say it couldn't happen to you someday, but I didn't have a problem in 2 years with the old LR3.

Had the same problem with leakage today. Had the truck nose down in the driveway and it
was raining pretty hard. Plus it was caked with dirt from the trail last weekend. Put all those together and I have water coming out of the overhead light area, and in the back seat above where the seatbelt retracts into the frame. Have had mine for a year and a half so I guess its
time to get my lines flushed too.
