On-Dash Fuel gage Problems

I have a 98 Disco with 131K miles and am inquiring into why my fuel gage (on the dash) is not working at all. It registers at complete empty with the low-fuel indicator illuminated at all times. Anyone out there have/had this issue? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The fuel pump has the fuel level arm on it... sounds like it is time to replace it. and with those miles you may need a new fuel pump soon anyways.
