Need some advice.
I currently have a 2005 LR3 35,000, still under warranty until April 2010. Have had a few issues, water leaks, suspension compressor issues etc.

I have an opportunity to by a 2004 Range Rover with 52,000 miles.
Looks as though it is in excellent condition.

My question is, is the Range Rover a more dependable trunk than the 2005 LR3.

that's a tricky one. I have had two 06 RR's and both had a few electronic/suspension fault issues but thats about it. I think an 05/06 is the way to go but as long as you can get a warranty on it you should be ok. Good mileage for an 04 though!

I would be cautious. I had a problem free 2003 HSE until it hit about 50k. Then the suspension failed several times, the electronics had issues, the front right rotor and caliper had to be replaced twice, the AC control had to be replaced and it left us stranded 5 times from 50k-95k when I finally sold it. I did have the extended warranty through LR but the $500 DEDUCTIBLE DOES ADD UP. I stayed clear of RR for a while but have since acquired an 09' RR SC Autobiography. My research told me that from 2007-2009, the Range Rover has been rock solid.

I have a 2003 HSE and have had no problems except an air shock went out, and a few dead pixels on the nav display. I bought it with 25K and it has 67K now. Lucky for now.
Also have a 92 RRC, standard problems but never needed a tow.
